HTC Smart handset has been launched in Indian market in co-operation with the country’s leading telecom services provider Airtel. And the surprising fact is that it is the first device to use Qualcomm's Brew OS.   
 
Airtel customers now can enjoy exclusive offers for data and can have a nice HTC handset with them.
 
The HTC Smart phone comes with easy-to-use widgets, browsing and connectivity at a very low price. It has a large 2.8-inch TFT-LCD touchscreen with QVGA resolution and is equipped with features like a 3.5 mm stereo audio jack, HTC Sense UI and a 3MP camera. However there is no autofocus with the camera.
 
The other features with this set include GSM/GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth 2.0, HSDPA/WCDMA and microSD memory card with SD 2.0 support. The Smart can provide 370 minutes of talktime for WCDMA and up to 450 minutes of talktime for GSM. Similarly, the standby time for the WCDMA is 600 hours and for GSM is 450 hours.
 
The handset provides good support for the users to customize their device for quick access to contacts, photos, music and weather. There is also a Stream application with the Smart that lets the users to check status updates of their friends across various social networking sites.
 
The HTC Smart handset is available for Indian customers at Rs. 9,990 at all authorized HTC resellers in the country.
