High Tech Computers (HTC) has launched the HTC Touch Cruise in India, which is a HSDPA enabled device. It is the third mobile phone from the HTC family of mobile phones. It is also the first which has an in built GPS for personal navigation. Like the other cell phones from HTC, the Touch Cruise also features HTC's proprietary TouchFLO technology for finger touch scrolling and browsing of web pages, documents, messages and contact lists. TouchFLO also offers the user to view pictures and slideshows by the use of on-screen controls which enables it to zoom in and rotate the images using just one hand.
The HTC Touch Cruise has standard features like access to e-mail, text messages, calendar application, appointments and contacts. It has also got some advanced features like displaying current weather conditions and forecasts for various cities. Sweeping a finger up on the display launches an animated, three-dimensional interface which contains three screens, namely; Contacts, Media and Applications. It also has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and has a large 2.8 inch screen which is touch-sensitive. The Cruise runs on Windows Mobile 6 and has got Windows Media Player for playing video and audio files.
Other important features of the HTC Cruise include a 3 mega-pixel auto-focus camera, FM radio and a microSD card slot for adding more memory. It comes loaded with 256MB ROM and 128MB RAM. The HTC Touch Cruise will be available for a price of Rs.32,990.
