With a motive to offer mobile marketing solutions to other media players, advertising and marketing agencies, HT Media Ltd has tied up with a Britain-based firm Velti Plc. Under the new joint venture, the Velti Plc holds 65 per cent stake. According to a statement issued by HT Media, the company will use Velti’s mobile marketing platform (MMP) to execute mobile marketing and advertising activity. When asked about the company's decision to venture into mobile marketing, HT Media stated that the company wants to explore the rapidly expanding population of mobile users in India.
 
The CEO of HT Media Ltd, Rajiv Verma said that the alliance with Velti Plc will help the company to offer excellent and patented mobile based marketing services to the customers. According to him, the company is committed to the development of new media initiatives. HT Media Ltd is one of the leading media houses of India. It operates 15 printing facilities across India with an installed capacity of 1.5 million copies per hour. HT Music and Entertainment Company Ltd, a subsidiary of HT Media has entered the FM radio market in key Indian cities in collaboration with Virgin Radio.
