Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan has always rode high on success in films made by papa Rakesh Roshan, be it his debut film Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, Koi Mil Gaya or Krrish. Luck seems to be once again favoring the Roshans as the world rights for their home production ‘Kites’ is said to have been brought by Eros International for a whopping Rs1 billion ($ 25 million).
The movie, starring Hrithik Roshan and the US-based Spanish model Barbara Mori, is scheduled to start next month. The film will be directed by Anurag Basu of ‘Life in a Metro’ fame and the music score will be given by Rajesh Roshan. The film is expected to be shot mostly in New Mexico, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
It is also being speculated that Eros International apart from buying the world rights has also bought the music and satellite rights of ‘Kites’. However, there has been no confirmation about the speculated deal either by Eros International or from Filmkraft, Roshan’s production banner. The film, which was rejected by Sonam Kapoor owing to playing a bold character, revolves around romantic engagements between an Indian boy and a Latino girl, who do not speak each other’s language.
