With the Indian Premier League matches set to begin on April 18, Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan has been roped in as the ambassador for team Mumbai Indians headed by Sachin Tendulkar. The actor is also featuring in a promotional video song to muster support for the team. R Balachandran, director Indiawin sports, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries which owns the franchise outfit remarked that Hrithik is an ideal choice who symbolizes the spirit of the team.
Apart from announcing Hrithik as the Team’s ambassador, Mumbai Indians also announced a revamp of its logo designed around Sudarshan chakra and the Indian flag. Kaushik Roy, another director of Indiawin Sports remarked that Hrithik has been chosen as the ambassador by Nita Ambani because he represents youth, tenacity and energy, and is driven by aspirations. Hrithik is seen in a two minute promotional video with other players of the team in action, while the Marathi Hindi mix song ‘ala re ala’ (here we come) and ‘duniya hila denge’ (we will rock the world) plays in the background.
