HP has not yet given any name to these laptops and they can be used for common applications such as net surfing and word processing. The new laptops will be available in the market this month and the company hopes that it will boost the school children to learn about computers and also its market share.
But the authorities are keeping their fingers crossed about the success of their product. The market is very unpredictable and no one knows what will happen, say the authorities. The processors used in the laptops are made by Via Technologies. The laptop has screen of 8.9 inches and it weighs just a little below 3 pounds.
If you are thinking of playing games or watching movies throughout the day, then there is a bit of disappointment. The laptop is deprived of optical drive, which is required for CDs and DVDs.
