Hewlett-Packard (HP) and Research In Motion (RIM) entered into a partnership to design and sell business software for BlackBerry smartphones. Under the new deal HP will provide new products and services for RIM's BlackBerry smartphone line. According to executive vice president of HP's technology solutions group, Ann Livermore, the alliance between HP and RIM will allow customers to enjoy service-based mobile solutions, which will be of great value.
 
HP will offer its new CloudPrint service for the BlackBerry, which will enable the smartphone users to print emails directly from the handset. Apart from emails, the web-based service of HP will allow the users to garb a copy of important documents, photos and web pages. In order to manage and control IT at the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, HP will launch software called HP Operations Manager.
 
According a statement, the new services and software designed by HP and RIM will be available with BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0. Both the companies will demonstrate the combined systems at the Wireless Enterprise Symposium in Florida.
