HP is soon to launch its first ever netbook with an 11.6 inch display. The netbook will incorporate high-octane Nvidia Ion graphics chipset and is ideal for a variety of browsing needs.
 
Most netbooks have displays that are not larger than 10 inches; the HP Mini 311 will be the first netbook to break that norm. The 11.6 inch screen can generate a maximum resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.
 
In addition to this, the netbook also features HDMI and VGA connectors to enhance the viewing experience. The core computing is provided by the low-power Intel Atom N270 processor that improves performance.
 
For RAM, the netbook is powered by a 1GB DDR3 RAM card. The netbook also boasts of Altec Lansing speakers, Wi-Fi connectivity, three USB ports and a 160GB hard disk.
 
HP claims the Mini 311 will be able to perform as strongly a full-sized notebook. It will launch internationally this month. Pricing details are yet unconfirmed but it is believed that the netbook will be available for around $399 or around Rs. 19,385.
