The much awaited multi-starrer “Housefull” has not had a very good start as one of its highlights, the remixed version of the song “Apni To Jaise Taise” has run into trouble with the original makers of the song.

 

Music director Anandji and the successors of  music director Kalyanji along with the those of producer late Prakash Mehra have filed a case against the producers of the movie on the grounds of the claim that the producers used the song without permission and without the rights of the song.

 

The successors of Mehra say that the song was written by Mehra and the rights of the lyrics were with them.    

 

The Kolkata HC after listening to the two songs has asked Sajid Khan, the director, to remove four lines that have violated the copyright.

 

Justice Nadira Patherya has also said that the sing should not be used in the movie until June 2 and that the next hearing will be after three weeks. She said that the two sides should be ready with the affidavits in two weeks time.

 

Sajid has, however, said that the song is just a tribute to the 70s era.
