The three host nations of 2011 Cricket World Cup, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will set up a local organising committee in their respective countries to conduct the event smoothly. The recent decision was taken by the 2011 World Cup sub-committee at a meeting in Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Wednesday (May 27). International Cricket Council (ICC) officials were also present at the meeting. The ICC officials discussed the plans and expenditures of the mega cricketing event.
 
According to tournament's sub-committee, 2011 Cricket World Cup will cost around 40 to 50 million US dollars. Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), N. Srinivasan said that the estimated event budget will be presented to the ICC Finance Committee. During the Wednesday meeting, it was also decided that the 2011 ICC World Cup logo will be launched in Mumbai on July 14. The launch ceremony will be attended by Sharad Pawar, ICC vice-president and chairman of the 2011 central organising committee and ICC chief executive Haroon Lorgat.

The first match of the upcoming cricket World Cup will be played on 19 February 2011. As many as 14 teams will participate in the tournament. The final of the World Cup will be played at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium. Earlier it was decided that Pakistan will also be one of the co-hosts of the world cup, but last month the ICC executive board dropped it. Pakistan lost the rights to host world cup matches because of security concerns.
