The offer from Honda to Fernando Alonso has been made despite the fact that Ferrari and Alonso already have agreed a deal for 2010 when world champion Kimi Raikkonen would bid to F1 racing. In that case too Alonso has one year and he wants to utilize the same, but Honda does not seem to willing for any short term contract.
Honda is considered the richest among formula car sponsors and can lure any player for that matter. The Japanese jumbo car maker is expecting Fernando Alonso a viable option for its racing team. Alonso who is currently playing for Renault is the youngest F1 champion has been offered to tell his price to play for Honda team.
The offer though not yet accepted contains for long term contract. Honda is not interested in short stint and wants a long term collaboration with Alonso and has asked him to join them and not to worry about future for his future would be in safe hands. There has not been any communication from Spanish racer in this regard.
Honda on the other hand has come up with vigor this time, particularly after Ross Brawn’s joining of it. Next year Honda will come up with Ross Brawn influenced car in F1 racing. Brawn’s coming has brought a wealth of knowledge and technical acumen to Honda that will certainly help it.
