The news about Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India planning to launch at least two high-end 1000 cc bikes in India will come as music to the ears of bike-lovers. Sources further inform that Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, which is the fully owned two-wheeler subsidiary of Japanese major Honda Motor Co, is also contemplating the introduction of superior 100 cc bikes in the Indian market by the conclusion of 2008-2009.
Priced at over Rs 10 lakh, the Honda Company’s new 1000 cc bikes will target the highly-premium segment customers. S Aoyama, the president and CEO of Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, spoke briefly about the company’s future agenda during the launch of their new 125 cc model CBF Stunner recently.
‘The new launches, along with the CBF Stunner, is slated to contribute about 10 per cent towards the company’s total turnover during the year,’ said S Aoyama. It was further informed that CBF Stunner will supplement the company’s turnover by eight per cent, whereas the other launches will help improve earnings by two per cent.
