The 59-year-old Oscar Award winning actress, Meryl Streep is all set to get the life achievement award at the Rome Film Festival. Streep has been nominated for the Marcus Aurelius Lifetime Achievement Award for her outstanding career in cinema. The previous winners of this coveted lifetime achievement award include Hollywood legends like Sean Connery and Al Pacino.
The 'Kramer vs Kramer' star, Meryl Streep has won as many as 15 Academy Award nominations, which is a record in the history of Oscar Awards. She also holds the record of getting 23 Golden Globe Award nominations. The actress enjoys the honour of receiving all the major awards including Oscars, Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild, and BAFTA awards.
During the fourth annual Rome Film Festival, Streep will discuss about the achievements of her four-decade long acting career. The Rome Film Festival is scheduled to run from 15 to 23 October. The six-member jury of the film festival will have filmmaker Milos Forman as president while Gian Luigi Rondi will head the event.
