Bollywood horror film actress Hazel Court died on Tuesday, following a heart attack at her California home. The English born actress was 82 years old. The actress especially loved to act in the genre of horror and worked in several films made by the cult director Roger Corman in the 1960s. The legendary actress starred in horror flicks like ‘The Raven’, ‘The Curse of Frankenstein’ and ‘The Masque of the Red Death’.
The actress had created a niche for her terrifying death scenes and gory screams, which earned her the epithet of ‘Scream Queen’. The actress, before making her mark in Hollywood, was steady on the theatre circuit of Britain and later worked in numerous American television serials. Born in 1926 at Birmingham, the actress was a child prodigy and started to make appearance on the stage as a young teenager. The fine actress was also known to be proficient as a painter and sculptor and several of her works were displayed at Art galleries. The actress married twice, first with Dermot Walsh in 1949 and then later in walked the aisle with American actor and Director Don Taylor in 1964.
