Fast moving consumer goods major Hindustan Unilever has posted a net profit of Rs.429 crore for the second quarter of the 2009-10 fiscal which ended on Sep 30, registering a 22% dip from the Rs.547 crore reported during the corresponding period last fiscal.
Net sales of the firm has witnessed a growth of 5% to be reported at to Rs.4,228 crore during the quarter under review as against the Rs.4,028 crore logged in during the previous fiscal.
The scrip of the company closed at Rs.282.95 Friday and gained over 7.65% in October.
