India’s largest consumer products company Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) declared on Friday, July 4 that it has appointed Mr Hemant Bakshi as its new executive director, sales and customer development. It is from September 1 onwards that Bakshi will take on his new post. He is presently the regional category vice-president, skincare, South Asia. Hemant Bakshi is going to succeed Sanjiv Kakkar, who inturn has been made the chairman for Unilever’s operations in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus (RUB). Speaking about the recent promotions, the MD and CEO of HUL, Mr Nitin Paranjpe, said, ‘The changes reflect our strong commitment towards leadership development and our tradition of leveraging experiences and synergies of talent across markets.’
