HCL Infosystems has come up with its new power-packed laptop called Leaptop Z39. With 8GB RAM and 500GB HDD, the all-new Leaptop Z39 is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo processor based on latest Intel Centrino 2 technology. The energy efficient HCL laptop comes with a battery backup of 4 hours. According to the company, the new laptop is designed keeping in mind the conditions in India. HCL has incorporated an Advanced Thermal Engineering (ATE) technology in the new laptop to keep the temperature in control.

The ATE technology keeps the surface temperature on the keyboard less than 6 degree Celsius than the ambient temperature, which enables the users to work comfortable for long hours. HCL claimed that the new laptop consumes less than 1.7 W of energy in sleep mode and below 1 W in stand-by mode. Less consumption of energy makes Leaptop Z39 a fit product for the users in India, where energy shortage stands out to be a major problem.

With 14.1-inch wide screen, HCL Leaptop Z39 carries a price tag of Rs 59,990. Prospective buyers can grab the new HCL laptop from HCL DigiLife stores, premium Large Format Retail and other HCL retail outlets. According to executive vice president at HCL Infosystems, George Paul, the introduction of HCL Leaptop Z39 is part of company's 'design for India' product strategy.
