The HCL Infosystems has announced that it is soon going to launch a five-inch PC in competition to the personal digital assistant (PDA). The product is expected to hit the market in the coming 12 months and can be fetched at somewhere between Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000.
Just few months ago, the HCL Infosystems had introduced the low cost and very mobile 7-inch and 10-inch laptops under the MiLeap brand name. George Paul, HCL Infosystems executive vice-president says this being the time of technological revolution, the electronic devices will keep getting more compact, lighter and come with a longer battery life.
He informed that their soon-to-be-launched five inch device will have Intel Atom Processor. Other options include processors from Texas Instruments and ST Microelectronics. HCL Infosystems is currently working on ensuring that their new device offers same user experience as working on a normal laptop or computer.
