Haryana was the first among green revolution states, now under its technical makeover the state has revamped grain market business in the state. To facilitate transmission of the prices of commodities on daily basis to people, particularly grain traders, Haryana Government has computerized all agri-markets in the state. These agri-markets called 'Mandis' will be availed with modern facilities of information transmission. All 108 ‘mandis,’ and 25 sub-centers of the agricultural marketing board of Haryana will have internet facilities.

State Government official giving out details on the project said that the facilities were part of the government’s successful implementation of the national e-governance mission to make all government services accessible to the common people in his locality. The official assured that the common service delivery outlets would ensure efficiency, transparency and reliability. He concluded that services are aimed to meet needs of common people, and there would be reasonable charges for these services.
