Harmohinder Singh Chatha has been elected as the Speaker of the Haryana Assembly today. He will be holding the post for the third time.
Congress MLA from Kaithal Randeep Singh Surjewala had proposed the 74-year-old Chatha for the post, with other members from his part as well as other parties supporting this proposal
But soon after this incident, Kuldeep Bishnoi along with 6 other member walked out of the Assembly.
Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and INLD President and former Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala welcomed Chatha.
