Indian classical flute player, Hari Prasad Chaurasia has got the highest French honor called Chevalier dans l`Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, which is the top honor for a civilian in the country.
 
The award will be presented to the 72 years old flutist by French ambassador Jerome K.Bonnafont at a grand ceremony at the French embassy.
 
A book and and a CD ‘Hariprasad Chaurasia and the Art of Improvisation’ by Henri Tournier, the flute maestro`s French assistant at the Rotterdam Music Conservatory will be released on the same day on November 9.
 
The award in English called as’ Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters’ acknowledges people who have given impeccable contribution in the world of art and culture.
 
Hari Prasad has already been awarded with Padma Vibhushan and Sangeet Nataki award by the Indian government for his unparalleled contribution in the field of classical music.
