Indian off spinner Harbhajan Singh has been banned for 11 matches for slapping S Sreesanth at the end of Mumbai Indians' match against Kings XI Punjab on Friday. It means that Harbhajan will now be out for rest of the action in IPL.

In addition to that Bhajji also faces a separate action from the Indian Cricket board, which has asked him to explain his role in the slapping incident.

BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah has said that a "preliminary inquiry" will be conducted by Mr Sudhir Nanavati, who will submit a report "within 15 days" to the BCCI president, who in turn will refer the findings to BCCI's disciplinary committee for further action.

Harbhajan Singh has been fined 100% of his match fee while Lalchand Rajput, the coach of Mumbai Indians, has also been fined 15% of his match fee as he was found guilty of a level 2 offense. It was found that Lalchand Rajput was right behind Harbhajan Singh at the time of incident but he didn't take any step to stop him.
