Spinner Harbhajan Singh has appealed to Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to give him a final chance before pronouncing any verdict, for slapping his Indian team mate Sreesanth. Harbhajan may face a ban by the BCCI for few matches. Just two days before, the Commissioner Sudhir Nanavati will take any disciplinary action against the 27 year old off-spinner; Harbhajan has written a fresh letter to BCCI stating his appeal.
Harbhajan has already been banned from playing in eleven IPL matches for slapping Kings XI Punjab’s player Sreesanth. In his letter Harbhajan has stated that he has already apologized to Sreesanth after the incident in Mohali and was willing to do so again in public. Harbhajan has further written that he would like to appeal to the BCCI for its sense of fair play and ask for one final chance before taking any disciplinary action against him over the incident. BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah however remarked that the inquiry is still going on and nothing can be said before a report on the same is out.
