The co-creators of Disney's hit TV show ‘Hannah Montana’ are taking legal action alleging they are entitled to a share of the profits from the multi-million dollar teen franchise.

Barry O'Brien and Richard Correll jointly created the show with screenwriter-producer Michael Poryes who filed a lawsuit in 2008, claiming bosses at multi-media giant Disney owe him royalties for ‘Hannah Montana: The Movie", as well as branded merchandise.

Now his colleagues have followed his lead, filing their own suit against Disney chiefs, alleging they are contractually entitled to proceeds from the franchise.

The legal papers also include allegations that Correll was dismissed from his role on the show after he complained to his union, the Writer's Guild of America, about royalty payments.
