Kolkata-based Simplex Projects Ltd, an engineering and construction company, will be constructing multi-level car parking facilities in Guwahati and Noida.
The chairman and managing director of Simplex, B. K. Mundhra, who was addressing the media after the annual general meeting of Simplex Projects, told, “We have bid for multi-level car parking projects in Mumbai, Chennai and Pune as well”.
He mentioned that Guwahati project will provide parking facilities for about 500 cars where as the parking facility which is being developed in Noida will provide parking spaces for about 990 cars.
The company already owns a car parking facility in Kolkata.
The installation, development, operation and maintenance of multi-level automated car parking systems is being handled by Simpark Infrastructure, which is a subsidiary of Simplex Projects and owned by it.

Asked about the investment plans for the Noida and Guwahati projects, Mundhra said: "Noida is a cash project, where we are not investing anything. It will be done by the development authority and for the Guwahati one we are still working out financial details."
Simpark is also into constructing flyovers in Rajarhat, which is located in suburban regions of Kolkata as well as in Patna.
Simplex has set up a subsidiary, Simplex Projects (Netherlands) Cooperatie UA, to foray into the European market.
The profit after tax of the company last fiscal stood at Rs.19.91 crore.
