British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has requested all the world leaders to work for the formation of a "global society". He has also called for a better cooperation to restrain global warming, nuclear proliferation, terrorism and economic recovery.
He added that the global economic meltdown is an incident which proves the need for the cooperation of the nations so that disaster can be averted. He warned that cooperation for resolving other issues is also required.
If world powers could renew that cooperation, Brown said, "I believe we are in the business ... of creating a truly global society."
Brown has mentioned that the nations should be able to take more steps to prevent the spread of nuclear weapon usage. He also added that major powers should adopted tougher stand against Iran and North Korea.
"Let there be no ambiguity: Iran and North Korea must now know that the world will be even tougher on nonproliferation," Brown said.
He proposed a "grand bargain" in which existing nuclear states would offer access to civilian power to non-nuclear states.
He has asked the Western nations to continue their war against Al Qaida and other terrorist groups
"None of us can be safe if we walk away from that country," Brown said.
He has also asked all the world leaders not to skip the climate change summit scheduled to take place in Copenhagen in December 2009.
"Despite the progress we have made, the road to a successful outcome in Copenhagen is not assured," Brown said.
He has also asked the richer nations to lend a helping hand to the poorer nations so that they can handle issues.
"We do not and must not turn off the life support for our economy prematurely," Brown said.
