A new tool has been released by Google Inc which will translate the news articles, internet blogs as well as the text messages in English into Persian and vice versa. The spokesperson for the firm said that this move was being taken by Google to help Iran with improving the access for information over the web.
This move from Google shows the role played by the internet in the day to day lives of people. In a blog which was posted by Google on Friday, the firm has made a statement that Farsi or Persian is the most common language which is used in Iran and is the 42nd language which is available through its online translation service.
This translation service provides the translation of the texts from websites, blogs as well as email messages from Persian to English and vice versa automatically.
The Principal scientist of Google, Franz Och, who now heads the translation group of Google, said that this was an idea which came up naturally in the view of the recent events which happened in Iran. He also mentioned that this toll is aimed at providing help to people get access to information and to communicate.
Even though the translation team at Google was already working on adding the language of Persian to Google Translate, the product roll on was accelerated on the view of the current events.
