As per the reports Google is all set to launch a Twitter-Killer this week for its Gmail application. Currently Google allows users to update their status on the Gmail or Gtalk. But the status message once posted removes the previous update.
The new feature thus is likely to allow the user to look through a variety of previous status updates from people he/she would choose to connect to. The feature would be brought upon its photo-sharing site Picasa and also the popular Google’s Video sharing site YouTube.
If Google gets its way, the status updates could easily be integrated in and out of Facebook and Twitter. The feature as projected could be an immediate hit with fast growing user base of Twitter. But if not the technology would end up being just another trial and failed services from Google.
