Google, with launching the beta version of Adsense in Games, is entering into video games. Adsense is a technology designed to put relevant advertising links in Web-based games. Adsense in Games will show ads targeted at young men in sports and action games. Accordingly, the ads themselves would be videos that players watch after completing a level or before or after a game.
According to Christian Oestlien, Senior Product Manager at the Mount View in California, with the help of Adsense advertisers would be able to reach customers. Google sources say that Adsense is an expansion of Google's online search and advertising Adsense program, which matches ads to the content of Web sites.
Jameson Hsu, chief executive of online gaming network Mochi Media said that Google's entry into video game ads is validating the market. Mochi Media based at San Francisco is working with Google to provide in-game ads in Europe. Jameson Hsu said that Google's entry into video game ads is a very big milestone.
