World's leading Internet search engine, Google Inc has decided to cancel its print advertisement programme. The company said in a statement that the advertising programme has not been able to create an impact and hence the company decided to cancel it. The company is interested in focusing on more successful ventures. According to Google, the company should fix its interest on products that can benefit the most people and solve the most important problems.
Director of Google print ads Spencer Spinnell is of the opinion that Google decided to do away with the resources that are unable to create an impact so as to refocus on operations that are useful to millions of users. In addition to the cancellation of advertisement programme, Google also cuts about 100 jobs of its recruiting organization.
US-based Google Inc earns a big chuck of its revenue from advertising related to its Internet search, e-mail, social networking etc. The company's web search engine is one of most popular services. With 53.6 percent market share, Google is the most used search engine on the web. To improve its software production and services, Google entered into partnerships with several companies and government agencies.
