Google has joined the Desktop Dock campaign with the launch of its Nexus One Desktop Dock. It is also said that the new service would be bundled with the Nexus One smartphone and will be available from its Google Store.

Google's Desktop Dock is thought to be custom designed for its newly launched Nexus One phone and will hold the phone upright just like iPhone stands on its Dock. As a user slips the Nexus One on the Desktop Dock, the Clock app launches automatically displaying time and date. Moreover, the Clock app also provides useful information on the weather, set alarms and watch image slideshows.

Playing music has been made enjoyable with this set as there is a 3.5mm-to-RCA audio cable for those who want to listen at higher volume. However, the Bluetooth can help in listening music from A2DP profile. The desktop Dock helps the user in hooking the phone to the stereo system and charging.

Google Desktop Dock is available for purchase now from Google Store, http://www.google.com/phone. This customized stand is priced at $45.
