Google has added a new feature in its location search. A location search in Google will now have the map information along with photos of popular attraction sites in that location.

 

Lingyun Liu, Software Engineer at Google, wrote “Using our Universal Search technology, we have provided maps in our search results for more than two years. It's often just as valuable to get a sense of what the place is like, and there's no better way to do that than by looking at images of some of its most important sights. Now, when you search for locations using Google Search, you may see pictures from that place alongside a map.”

 

The photo sharing site of Google “Panoramio” is the source for these photographs. The photos are not available for all locations but guarantees covering most of the major cities. A click on the Google map will show you the Google map page and photos of popular destinations in and around the city. The added feature is surely going to help you while searching for tourist destinations for your next vacation.
