The Google Company has been determined about creating a database for local and text-based search on mobile phones in India. The completely automatic voice search, which will employ a voice algorithm created by Google locally, was launched recently as a pilot project in Hyderabad. It will provide users information on business listings either through a voice response or SMS on their cell phones. One can, however, also avail Google voice search facility on fixed lines.

 

A similar voice search facility was introduced by rival company, Yahoo Inc. recently in India. But this Yahoo voice search service permits mobile users to seek information on the Internet through a phone call. At present, the voice-search service introduced by Google in India is free of cost. Callers or information seekers can feel free to avail the Google voice-search service through a toll-free number.
