The search engine giant, Google has brought several improvements in its Book Search product. The refurbished Google Book Search allows the users to immediately see where their search term appears in a given book, see thumbnails of all the pages in a book or magazine. It also offers embedded links to books in user’s blogs.
 
Google Book Search is a tool that searches the full text of books, converts to text using optical character recognition and stores in its digital database. Initially the service was known as Google Print. The Book serch service allows public-domain works and other out-of-copyright material to be downloaded in PDF format. 

Earlier the search engine major has entered into loggerhead with publishers and authors over violating copyrights through Google Book Search. The book publishers and their lawyers had targeted Google Book Search for digitising books without the permission of copyright holders. The search engine has recently announced to launch its e-book sales service to challenge Amazon.com. Google is expected to introduce the e-book sales service by the end of this year.
