Animated film Ghatothkach- Master of Magic that depicts the adventures of Ghatothkach, son of Indian mythological figure Bhima and Hadimba will first be screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. The Cannes film festival is scheduled to begin from May 14. Smita Maroo, vice president of Shemaroo Entertainment revealed that earlier Ghatothkach Master of Magic was slated to release worldwide on May 2, the date has however now been deferred.
Ghatothkach Master of Magic has been directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao in both 2D and 3D. The film has been made in Bollywood song and dance style and has music composed by Pravin Mani, an associate of AR Rehman. Ghatothkach is an indigenous animated film and has been made in collaboration between Shemaroo Entertainment and Sun Animatics, Hyderabad. The 100 minute animation film will be released in English, Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Bengali. Smita Maroo revealed that Master of Magic was last year promoted at Cannes only.
