Jenna Bush, US President George Bush’s first twin daughter is set to walk the aisle with her long time boyfriend Henry Hager on Saturday, May 10, 2008. The 26 year old author and former school teacher will marry Henry in front of 200 guests in a private ceremony at her father’s Texas Ranch. It will be the first White House wedding in 37 years. It was President Nixon’s daughter who got married in 1971, while Nixon still held the office of President.
Jenna Bush opted for the Texas ranch instead of a historic White House wedding as she wanted a low key wedding to be solemnized at Texas, which is home to her. Jenna Bush will wear a wedding gown designed by Oscar de la Renta. The couple after their wedding plans to live in Baltimore, Maryland. Henry Hager met the President’s daughter in 2003 when he served as a intern at the White House. The 30 year old Mr Hager is finishing studies for his master’s degree in business from the University of Virginia. The joyful couple will be married at sundown at a specially built limestone altar. First Lady Laura said that she is very excited about the marriage and remarked that the President too likes his son-in-law.
