Genpact, a global business process outsourcing (BPO) firm in collaboration with NIIT, a key information technology (IT) education company, launched on Wednesday June 12, 2008 the NIIT Institute of Process Excellence Ltd. The idea behind launching the NIIT Institute of Process Excellence Ltd is catering to the demand for skilled workers in the business as well as the technology services industry. This newly launched JV company will initially proffer training courses to individuals in areas such as business processes, language skills and business communication.   

 

Eventually, the NIIT Institute of Process Excellence Ltd will also go on to include finance and accounting, banking, insurance and supply chain in all key cities of India followed by China and Philippines. The President and CEO of Genpact, Pramod Bhasin remarked that this Genpact and NIIT joint venture is meant for those students who wish to build a sustainable career in high growth business and technology services industry. NIIT Chairman Rajendra S. Pawar said that it is being aimed to open up a total of 250 centres by 2012.
