The joint venture company of Gayatri Projects Limited and Ratna Infrastructure Projects Private Limited has bagged Rs 21.31-billion contracts. Gayatri Projects holds 80 percent share while Ratna Infrastructure claims the rest in the JV. Under the proposed contracts, the JV company will construct 182 km-206 km Dummugudem-Nagarjuna Sagar Project Tail pond link canal. Apart from it, the company will also build up Dummugudem-Nagarjuna Sagar Project Tail pond link canal from 206 km to 244 km.
The first contract will cost Rs 13.60 billion while the second one will entail Rs 7.71 billion. According to a statement, both the project works will be completed within 54 months. Talking to media the managing director of Gayatri Projects Limited, Sandeep Reddy said that Gayatri-Ratna JV is very satisfied to procure the contracts as there was stiff competition. He claimed that the company is committed to finish the work on time and hand it over to the authorities as per the plans.
