It sure seems like a season of garlands as the ‘currency notes garland trend’ now hits Bihar after UP.

Earlier there was much hullabaloo about two currency garlands worth 21 lakhs and 18 lakhs presented to UP Chief Minister Mayawati and now it is a Bihar MP Ejaj Ali who has been honoured with a currency garland.

Ejaz Ali belongs to Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) and was suspended recently for misbehaving inside the Rajya Sabha. Ali along with six others belonging to LJP, SP and RJD were dead against the women’s bill and did everything they possibly could dispurt the passage of the bill in the parliament. They misbehaved with Chairman Hamid Ansari and frustrated with the constant chaos he suspended the 7 MPs.

Ali was bestowed with the honour at the Patna Airport. Ali had just flown in from New Delhi. It seems like the suspension has rather worked well for him due to the publicity of the suspension order. The crowd of his supporters waited for hours to receive him after he hit the headlines for opposing the women's reservation bill last week.

One of his supporters Mohammed Farman said, "A big and heavy marigold garland fully covered with currency notes was made by his supporters."

A happy Ejaz Ali said, “It was nothing but a gesture of love by my supporters towards me."

Ali stated in front of the media that he will continue to oppose the women's quota bill in its present form. He demanded the present bill be scrapped and a fresh bill moved in parliament.
