According to the new ranking released by ICC, Indian opening batsman Gautam Gambhir has jumped identical seven places to break into the top-20 ICC ODI ranking for batsmen. Gambhir had scored 209 runs in the series and had become top scorer in the tournament. Virender Sehwag improved his ranking but could not make to top twenty and finished at 38th rank. The recent tri-series seems to have made major changes in ODI top-twenty rank. Among the bowlers, Afridi wrested his way to the sixth place, climbing four places in the ICC ODI bowler ranking, while his compatriot pacer Umar Gul, who was the leading wicket-taker in the series jumped 10 places to be at 21.
