Fujifilm has unveiled its latest yet in India. The FinePix S100FS is a DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) camera. The camera features 14.3x zoom, expanded dynamic range and film simulation modes. The camera is touted to provide photo enthusiasts with everything they desire for.
It obviates the necessity of employing additional lenses and accessories that are a ubiquitous with professional cameras. It uses a 14.3x Fujinon manual zoom lens, Fujifilm’s 8th generation 2/3-inch Super CCD (Charged Coupled Device) sensor, third generation RP III processor, 2.5-inch tiltable LCD and ISO capabilities among others.
The Fujinon’s design makes it possible to attain maximum resolution at the focus along with maximum aperture. The camera’s unique composite body leaves little room for dust and dirt to penetrate into the CCD.
Depending on the scene being captured, the camera’s Film Simulation (FS) allows one to select between four different film modes, namely, portraiture, low-contrast, vibrant colors or general use. The camera uses Fuji’s famous Face Detection 2.0 technology that automatically removes red-eye effect from the images. Other features are: dual image stabilization, multi-bracketing function, comprehensive photographic controls and real photo technology. The camera can shoot 7 frames per second in a variety formats such as JPEG and RAW.
The camera also has built-in pop-up flash, 25MB of internal memory and SD/SDHC and xD card slot. The battery is a NP-140 Li-ion rechargeable. The camera has a 2.5-inch LCD screen. Physical dimensions of 133mmx94mmx150mm dimensions. The camera weighs a little less than a kilogram.
The phone will be available at all retail stores and with a 3 year warranty. The FinePix S100FS will be priced at Rs. 35,000.
