Frieda herself reveals the sad story of hers, when she went to a Mumbai Slum area and no one even recognized her. She was shocked as since the beginning of her career, she was known as the ‘Slum Dog Millionaire’ actress.

 

Frieda reveals, “'People in the city recognize me as the girl from Slumdog Millionaire and inevitably they stare. But when I visited the slums with an NGO, nobody recognized me at all. I didn't mind.”

 

The actress got the shock of her life, when she went through this; she might have reached at the conclusion that in order to keep on getting recognized, one needs to keep on coming into the lime light within the Bollywood industry.

 

The actress after Danny Boyle’s Slum Dog Millionaire moved westwards and started accepting offers, big or small, thus losing her identity and image in the Tinsel Town. Her present project is  Woody Allen’s film A Tall, Dark Stranger.
