Indians, of late, have increasingly been making their presence felt on the rich list. In the latest list released by the Forbes magazine that comprises names of 400 richest Americans, there are four Indians who feature in it. Google investor Kavitark Ram Shriram (ranked 281) is leading his group of compatriots. He ranks 281.

 

The remaining three Indian Americans on this rich list include co-founder of Sun Microsystems and a venture capitalist Vinod Khosla with personal wealth of $1.4 billion (rank 355), Syntel founder Bharat Desai and family (321) and Amar Bose (also ranked 321) of Bose sound systems. This list was released by Forbes on Wednesday, September 17, 2008. Microsoft founder Bill Gates stands at the summit with a wealth of $57 billion.
