The former engineer of Microsoft's search unit, Ken Moss has developed a new search engine called CrowdEye which will allow the users to track discussion on Twitter. The new Twitter search engine has been developed by Ken Moss and his wife Becca Moss. The beta version of the new search engine is expected to be launched today (June 18). According to the developers, CrowdEye aggregates and segments information in new ways by scanning through twitter links in real time.
With the help of the new search engine, users can identify the most popular links and topics on Twitter. In addition to this, the users can see how many tweets include specified keywords in a certain time period and even who tweeted on a breaking news story first. The new search engine allows the users to know what people are thinking about topics of interest in real time. CrowdEye also offers rewind functionality like Google's Wave.
The new search engine features a historical view that allows one to see how the discussion on a topic has evolved. Initially only three days worth of data will be available. However, the developers assured to expand this and add other features with input from users. It took about nine months for Ken Moss to develop the new search engine CrowdEye. Currently only Ken Moss and his wife are engaged in the development of the search engine.
