The Ford Motor has said that it is going to unveil its brand new Ka City Car at the impending Paris Motor Show next month. The autumn of this year itself is going to see the manufacturing of the Ka city car, which thereafter will hit the UK market either late 2008 or early next year for sale.

The Ka city car from Ford Motor will sport two cost-effective, low-emission engines - a 1.2-liter 69PS Duratec petrol engine as well as a 1.3-liter 75PS Duratorq TDCi turbodiesel. The second engine model is being used for the very first time on the Ka car. Both the above mentioned engines will come with sub-120g/km CO2 emissions.

The Ford Motor Company pointed out that the use of 1.2-liter petrol model, in comparison to the earlier 1.3-liter engine, will help slash the consumption of fuel by 21 per cent. The diesel engine model, on the other hand, too is expected to enhance economy, achieving a combined fuel consumption of 67.2mpg. The new Ford Ka city car is being developed in collaboration with Fiat.
