Force Motors, a commercial vehicle manufacturer, has set the target sales to 4,200 trucks for this fiscal, including an export of 1,200 units to the overseas markets.
"We are expecting to sell around 4,200 trucks this year, out of which 1,200 vehicles are to be exported to Africa, Russia, China, Europe and Central Asia," said company chairman and managing director Abhay Firodia during the annual convention of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).
Firodia conceded that "exports have sat down today the world over" on account of one of the worst downturns in the automobile industry, but expressed confidence that it would gradually "ramp up".
He added that the stakes of the company will not diluted to face the economic crises. "I have no intention whatsoever in changing our equity stakes."
