Force India And McLaren Enter Into Technical Tie-up

Force India Formula One Team and McLaren Applied Technologies have entered into a technical tie-up along with Mercedes-Benz High Performance Engines. According to reports, Mercedes-Benz High Performance Engines will provide its engines to Force India's VJM02 cars. Meanwhile, Force India is reported to have broken its tie-up with Ferrari which used to supply engines for the company's cars.
 
On the other hand, Force India's agreement with McLaren Applied Technologies will provide its racing cars with McLaren Racing gearboxes and hydraulic systems. McLaren will also assist Force India Formula One Team to operate successfully. Both Mercedes-Benz and McLaren will put kinetic energy recovery system (KERS) in Force India cars.
 
Talking about the new tie-ups with McLaren Applied Technologies and Mercedes-Benz High Performance Engines, the chairman of Force India, Vijay Mallya stated that his company is trying to expand its business by initiating more partnerships in future. Force India has also informed of a tie-up with aerospace company EADS for expanding its Brackley Aero Centre facility.
