Scientists have developed a new device, Fitbit, which when strapped around the wrist, can measure an individual’s physical movements. The device has 3D motion sensors similar to that used in Nintendo's Wii and measures all the aspects of a person.

The device measures the activity by the way the calories are burnt. That is, if a person has all the statistics like how many miles he travelled, how much calories he consumed or burnt in activities and at what time he woke up, then the device can tell you how many hours you slept. So this is done very accurately by the device using its mathematical calculations.

Fitbit tracks everything from calorie intake to different activity levels of a person. Simply the device has to be wrapped with the body or clipped with the cloth and the device will tell you if you are active, very active or sedentary.

Fitbit is available at a cost of $99.

The users can input their goals through Fitbit and the website will analyze all the details to give the required information. The little gadget will also help you in measuring some of the exciting activities like opening bottle of champagne, laughing and having sex. The device will tell you smartly how much calorie you have spent.

This is surely a romantic gift that you can expect to quicken your activity.
