According to a new study of Durham County Council, UK if a kid takes the daily dose of fish oil supplement, it will help to improve his/her performance in the exams. As per the research, the pupils who used to take Omega-3 capsules before their exams could able to score better marks than those who did not. However, scientist refused to accept the findings of the study claiming it to be bias one. They are of the opinion that since the study did not include the students who take placebo pills, it can not be accepted as an authentic experiment.
The head of nutrition at King's College of London, Professor Tom Sanders also claimed that the experiment is a biased one. There was no random selection of the sample children so the experiment was executed under controlled conditions. As a result of which it is difficult of make a substantial conclusion about the outcome of the study, he further added. It is a matter of debate whether consumption of fish oil can improve a kid's performance or not. But appropriate support and motivation from parents can definitely assist the kids to score good marks in exams.
