Mozilla has planned to release Firefox 3.5 web browser by the end of this month. While informing the news, Firefox director Mike Beltzner stated that although the final version will be launched by June-end, but Mozilla will issue a release candidate for Firefox 3.5 on Friday (June 19). The web browser code named as Shiretoko was first released as a modest 3.1 upgrade but with the increase of competitive pressure from Google, the new Firefox was promoted to version 3.5.
 
According to statement from Mozilla, the new version of Firefox comes with innumerable features. Some of the major features of Firefox 3.5 are built-in video, local storage to enable richer web applications, a private browsing mode, geolocation, faster performance loading pages, and executing Web-based JavaScript programs.  The local storage facility of Firefox 3.5 can work even with no network connection. Moreover, the geolocation facility can help the Web pages by revealing a user's location. 

Some of the other features of new version of web browser from Mozilla include support for web workers, which can enable browser-based applications to run in the background, personas to more easily provide themes, downloadable fonts and better built-in graphics technology. In order to establish better communications between a browser and server, Firefox 3.5 incorporates built-in support for the JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) technology.
